What Data We Collect

We collect minimal data to operate and improve the service:

• Analytics data — We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics, including pages visited, referral source, browser type, and approximate location. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve it.
• Search access — If you sign in to use features such as multi-date search, we collect your work email address to verify access and maintain your session.
• Hearing watch requests — If you ask us to set up daily hearing alerts, we collect the firm name, contact name, work email, watch terms, selected courts, and any notes you provide so we can evaluate and operate that service.
• Browser storage — We store your theme preference (light/dark mode) locally. PostHog also stores an anonymous visitor identifier and related analytics/session data in browser storage so we can understand recurring usage.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not require an account or login for ordinary browsing of current cause lists.
• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily contact us, sign in for access-controlled features, or request a hearing watch.
• We do not use advertising cookies or share data with advertisers.

Cookies

PostHog may set first-party cookies and use local storage for anonymous analytics identifiers. You can opt out of analytics tracking by using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts, or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings.

Data Hosting & Transfers

Our website is hosted on Vercel. Analytics data is processed by PostHog (EU servers). Your data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside of Hong Kong. By using this website, you consent to such transfers.

Your Rights

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), you have the right to access and correct any personal data we hold about you. If you have submitted a hearing watch request and want it updated or deleted, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.
